Schroders hires Chris Paine for Multi-asset Investments team

Schroders is today announcing the senior appointment of Chris Paine, who joins the Multi-asset Investments team from Henderson Global Investors. Chris will become a fund manager on the Global Income portfolio management team, which manages a suite of Global Income funds on behalf of its clients.

Chris, who joins Schroders today, brings over 20 years of investment experience to the role. He will report to Aymeric Forest, Head of Global Income, Multi-asset Investments. Chris brings both an equity management background and quantitative analytical expertise. He will strengthen the team’s research capabilities, as well as add to the oversight of security selection, asset allocation and portfolio construction.

Prior to joining Schroders, he spent over a decade at Henderson, joining in 2000 as a Quantitative Analyst on its Economics and Strategy team. He was named Director, Asset Allocation, in 2007 after having developed a range of tactical asset allocation models. Most recently, Chris had been Director of Research, Multi-asset, a role he assumed in 2012. He was also a member of Henderson’s Global Policy Committee, which oversees asset allocation across the firm.

Before Henderson, Chris was a Quantitative Analyst at NPI Asset Management, joining from consultant William M. Mercer.

Aymeric Forest, Head of Global Income, Multi-asset Investments, said:
“We have seen continued demand from investors for sustainable income, delivered by diversifying across different asset classes. As a result we are strengthening our capabilities further by continuing to invest in senior talent.”
