REYL Overseas Ltd now has an office in the United States

A subsidiary of the REYL & Cie bank, REYL Overseas Ltd has opened its first branch in Santa Barbara (Los Angeles) in the United States. Managed by Simon H. Clark and registered as an Investment Advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), REYL Overseas now has a foothold in the American market, one of the strategic development priorities of the REYL Group.

Created in 1973 in Geneva, REYL & Cie developed a regulated offer of financial services intended for North American clients from October 2011. This activity falls within REYL & Cie’s Wealth Management activity, one of the five complementary business lines of REYL Group along with Asset Management, Corporate Advisory & Structuring, Private Office and Asset Services.

The Group, which mainly targets international entrepreneurs and institutional investors, is distinguished by its willingness and capacity to incorporate the entrepreneurial dimension of its clients in relation to the overall management of their assets. Its managers have acquired extensive experience in merchant banking, ensuring the Group can offer a range of services effectively supplementing wealth management activities.

By opening an office in the United States, and particularly in California, REYL Overseas aims to take advantage of the American economy and the very attractive entrepreneurial microcosm, which is a preferred relay point for trade with Asia placed in the immediate neighbourhood of Silicon Valley and its talented entrepreneurs. REYL Overseas thus strives to offer closer support to American entrepreneurs who want to extend their business affairs and banking relations internationally as well as foreign investors who want to establish or strengthen themselves in the United States.

“The differentiation value of REYL & Cie,” says Roger Groebli, CEO of REYL Overseas, “is knowing how to build a diversified offer whose strengths are as much about Wealth Management as Corporate Advisory & Structuring or Private Office. It is a comprehensive and original proposal that enables REYL Overseas to rely on the different areas of expertise that the Group has been able to develop internally, in a transversal way. REYL Overseas clients benefit from the best of both worlds. They benefit from all the advantages that a Swiss private bank can obtain for them in terms of management quality, excellence of service and economic or monetary environment. At the same time, they have access to experienced professionals who draw on a strong Anglo-Saxon culture and an excellent knowledge of the business world internationally.”

“Our knowledge of the local, European and Asian markets, ensures we can provide a service offer that is diversified and interesting for American clients, based on over 40 years of banking experience. California offers a favoured foothold to develop this offer,” adds Simon H. Clark, Managing Director of the Santa Barbara branch.
