IAPA appoints new CEO

IAPA, a global association of independent accountancy/business advisory firms, today announces the appointment of Stephen Hamlet as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Stephen joins IAPA after 6 years with BKR International as Regional Executive Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He replaces Susan Humphry, who retires after 11 years in post.

Commenting on his new appointment Stephen said: “IAPA has already achieved a significant presence within the international profession, ranking amongst the top 25 groupings in terms of the total fee income of its membership. I am delighted to have this opportunity to lead IAPA into the next phase of development. My particular focus will be on consolidating membership in key business locations, maximising membership benefits through promotion of the IAPA brand, and the development of an expanding range of practical services to encourage new business generating opportunities for our members.”
