Heffernan Retirement Services named 2015 PLANSPONSOR Retirement Plan Adviser Team of the Year

Heffernan Retirement Services, a division of Heffernan Insurance Brokers, has been named the 2015 PLANSPONSOR Retirement Plan Adviser Team of the Year. The winner was announced at the annual Awards for Excellence celebration on Tuesday, March 31st in New York City.

Heffernan Retirement Services was selected as the winner from over 100 entrants and 8 finalists. To be considered for the award, a retirement advisor team had to: have a majority of business revenue derived from employer-sponsored retirement plans, serve as a fiduciary, be committed to fee-based compensation and use outcome-based metrics of plan success with clients.

Heffernan’s ethos is “Because You’re Different.” Each of their clients has unique goals, concerns, culture, demographics, financial literacy and technical aptitude so a one-size fits all approach will not work. By working closely with their clients to understand how they are different, Heffernan helps determine a customized course of action for each plan’s design and education to improve outcomes.
