Inaugural U.S. International Pavilion at ONS 2016 to Showcase Innovation

Against a dynamic backdrop of rebounding oil prices, fluctuating supply, heightened environmental pressures and shifting global fortunes, the United States of America is banking on new business to turn the tide at ONS 2016, August 29 through September 1 in Stavanger, Norway.

The U.S. presence will be front-and-center at ONS with the inaugural U.S. International Pavilion, organized by Kallman Worldwide, Inc., located near the show’s new main entrance in the recently completed Hall 6 at the Stavanger Forum Conference and Exhibition Centre. The Pavilion will be a primary destination for buyers looking for an efficient way to meet U.S. industry leaders, and an on-site business hub for U.S. exhibitors looking to maximize their exposure and impact at the event.

“When the U.S. commits to exhibit at ONS, we’re saying we believe in the power of this event to attract real business prospects and customers,” said Kallman Worldwide President and CEO, Tom Kallman. “Despite difficult market conditions, U.S. exhibitors have stepped up to the challenge in 2016 to grow their share in a down market and gain a long-term competitive advantage on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.”

Four distinct American oil & gas industry leaders, each representing a critical industry sector, are exhibiting in the first U.S. International Pavilion at ONS 2016:

TECHNICAL STANDARDS
ASTM International, the American Society for Testing Materials (Booth # 6980-8), has defined and set more than 12,000 global industry standards. The organization has more than 30,000 members in 140 countries. Working in an open and transparent process and using ASTM’s advanced IT infrastructure, members create the test methods, specifications, classifications, guides and practices that support industries and governments worldwide.

SAFETY AND PRODUCTIVITY
Kenexis, (Booth #6980-2), is an engineering consulting firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. The company specializes in services, software and training to improve operational safety and productivity. Kenexis ensures the integrity of instrumented safeguards and industrial communications networks by employing core skills in risk analysis, reliability engineering, and process and equipment engineering.

OPERATIONS
DrawWorks (Booth #6980-3) designs, manufactures, and sells a family of circulating, fill-up, and flow-back tools for oilfield tubulars, including casing, tubing, and drill pipe. DrawWorks products are designed to reduce risk and save time by simplifying two key drilling processes: running tubulars and handling fluids.

CORROSION PROTECTION
Oxifree Metal Protection (Booth 6980-10) was founded in 2008 to tackle the global cost of corrosion, which affects all sectors of industry. The company’s solution, Oxifree TM198, is a thermoplastic coating for the protection of metallic components. Oxifree TM198 is melted down from a solid resin and applied using a heated hose and gun to provide 100% protection against corrosion and contamination.

To heighten awareness of U.S. exhibitors and drive more trade visitor traffic through the Pavilion, Kallman is also promoting its “Ask America” on-site advocacy campaign during ONS 2016. The message will be placed prominently around the U.S. International Pavilion, integrated into official events during the show, and highlighted in social media (follow on Twitter @kallmanEWC).

“The United States may be one of the world’s biggest oil & gas equipment suppliers, but that’s no guarantee buyers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf will look to work with U.S. companies over others,” said Kallman. “As the organizer of the U.S. International Pavilion, we have a responsibility to advocate not only for our exhibitors, but for our nation in this highly competitive global marketplace.

“We want every show visitor to ‘ask America’ to help them gain a competitive edge in any market sector, anywhere in the world, because we are listening” he said. “The United States is committed to our international trade partnerships, we bring the best technology and innovation to the table and we have the best-skilled professionals ready to do the work.”
