Appointment of new President & General Manager of ThermiGen, an Almirall company

Almirall, S.A., the global pharmaceutical company based in Barcelona, announced today the appointment of Vladimir Paul-Blanc to the position of President & General Manager of ThermiGen, LLC, starting May 1st. He will report directly to the Executive Vice-president of Commercial Strategy of Almirall, Alfonso Ugarte, and he will be responsible for all general management responsibilities for the Thermi business globally. He will also be in charge of driving the company’s achievement of short and long term revenues and profitability goals through global operations, marketing, sales, and coordination of business development activities.

With over 13 years’ experience, Vladimir is an accomplished executive, specialised in the aesthetic energy device field. With an A.B. Biology degree from Brown University and a participant of Johns Hopkins University School of Arts and Sciences-Biotechnology Post-Bac Sciences Program, he has strong expertise in relevant positions, including general management, with full P&L responsibility and business development, being of particular relevance his last position at Solta Medical (the aesthetics energy device division of Valeant Pharmaceuticals), where he was the General Manager for more than two years.

He will be replacing both Paul Herchman (CEO) and Kevin O’Brien (President), who will move on to new non-executive roles as Global Strategic Advisors to the Thermi Board.

With the appointment of the new President & General Manager of ThermiGen, Almirall continues positioning itself to be a leading company in this area in the medium term.
