Generali Investments appoints Vincent Chaigneau as new Head of Research

Generali Investments Europe S.p.A. Società di gestione del risparmio (Generali Investments), the main asset manager of the Generali Group, announced today the appointment of Vincent Chaigneau as its new Head of Research, effective August 11.

Chaigneau, who will be based in Paris and report to CEO Santo Borsellino, will manage a unit currently consisting of 25 economists and credit and equity analysts working in Paris, Cologne and Trieste.

In addition to this, he will lead Generali’s Group Insurance Research (GIR), a team covering insurance and financial service markets around the world with proprietary forecasts, industry intelligence and ad hoc in-depth studies. GIR leverages on ten analysts, with an average experience of 20 years.

Vincent Chaigneau joins Generali Investments from Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, where he spent 24 years between Paris, New York and London, last serving as the Co-Head of Fixed Income Research, and Head of Rates & FX Strategy.

A French citizen, Vincent Chaigneau holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Finance and a Postgraduate Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Bordeaux.
