Generali Investments appoints new Head of Investments

-

Generali Investments, the main asset manager of the Generali Group, announces the appointment of Francesco Martorana as its new Head of Investments, effective October 2.

Martorana has been in the Generali Group since November 2013, where he held the position of Head of Group Asset Liability Management & Strategic Asset Allocation (ALM/SAA) for the general account assets. In this capacity, he was also instrumental in outlining the new asset management strategy for the Generali Group, which was announced in May.

Based in Milan, Martorana will report to Generali Investments’ CEO Santo Borsellino, and will lead a team of 85 investment professionals in Paris, Trieste, Cologne and Milan.
Prior to Generali, he held several management positions at Allianz SE and before worked for Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase.
A CFA and CAIA Charterholder, he holds a Master Degree in Finance from Università Commerciale Bocconi in Milan.

Martorana is taking over from Anna Khazen, who, after more than two years with Generali Investments, is leaving the Group to pursue other opportunities.
