LORENZO GARCIA JOINS COLUMBIA THREADNEEDLE INVESTMENTS AS HEAD OF EMEA CLIENT INVESTMENT SOLUTIONS

Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a leading global asset management group, has appointed Lorenzo Garcia as Head of EMEA Client Investment Solutions. Lorenzo is based in London, reporting to Jeff Knight, Global Head of Investment Solutions and Mark Burgess, Deputy Global Chief Investment Officer.

Columbia Threadneedle has diverse investment capabilities globally covering equities, fixed income and alternatives, as well as established responsible investment and risk parity capabilities. It also has a strong legacy of asset allocation, with over $130bn* invested in these strategies and a demonstrable track record in multi-asset.

At Columbia Threadneedle Lorenzo will be working with the global investment team to deliver investment solutions to clients in EMEA.

Lorenzo brings 17 years’ investment experience, including a 12-year career with Blackrock Investment Managers where his most recent role was Head of EMEA Institutional and Retail Portfolio Management, ETF and Index Investments, overseeing in excess of £370bn within 170 portfolios. Prior to that, Lorenzo was Head of Blackrock’s EMEA and APAC Multi-Asset Risk and Quantitative Analysis team, responsible for the oversight of International Multi-Asset and Client Solutions Mandates and working extensively with clients in relation to risk analysis, risk advice and portfolio construction.
