René Morgenthaler joins Banque Bonhote & Cie SA in Neuchatel as head of discretionary management for private and institutional clients

An enthusiastic investment specialist with over 30 years’ experience in the field of wealth management, René Morgenthaler took over as head of discretionary management at Banque Bonhote on 1 December 2017.

Formerly CIO at Royal Bank of Canada in Geneva, he began his career as a currency trader and then as head of securities dealing at Merrill Lynch Bank Suisse SA, also in Geneva. He has broad-based expertise in all the asset classes and has headed wealth management teams in a number of financial institutions.

Mr Morgenthaler was born in the Canton of Bern and, after working for North American and British banks in Geneva, returned to his native area to join an institution operating locally.
