BOE, nel 2024 attesi tagli dei tassi e sovraperfomance UK

La dichiarazione del Monetary Policy Committee della Bank of England è stata maggiormente in linea con le aspettative del mercato di questa settimana. Sono stati riconosciuti i progressi nella lotta all’inflazione, ma non si è ancora dichiarata vittoria. Anche se l’MPC continua a sostenere che la politica monetaria dovrà rimanere restrittiva, non crediamo che questo precluda la possibilità di avere dei tagli nei prossimi trimestri. Infatti, a nostro avviso, con tagli significativi la politica monetaria rimarrebbe in territorio restrittivo.

Con il recente deterioramento dei dati UK e il cambio di rotta della Fed di ieri, ci aspettiamo che la BOE inizi a tagliare i tassi nello stesso periodo e, dati i prezzi attuali, questo dovrebbe portare a una sovraperformance UK il prossimo anno.
