BETTER FINANCE. “The independent advocacy voice of Europe’s individual financial services users”

-

Vision: “A Europe where individuals can confidently and safely access fair, simple, , efficient financial services.” [1. The word fair is a powerful word; it relates to the concepts of transparency and value for money. 2. The word ‘long-term’ is removed because a) that phrase takes us into the awkward question of explaining what we mean by ‘long term’ – is it 5 years, 10 years? etc. And unless it is defined each person will have their own idea what it means and therefore the communication is in effect inconsistent. b) because there is no fundamental reason why we would not advocate on issues relating to short term products i.e. why restrict to ‘long term’.]

Mission: “BETTER FINANCE provides research to support our evidence-based advocacy and aims for simple, transparent, and performing investment and savings opportunities across Europe.”

Tagline: “The independent advocacy voice of Europe’s individual financial services users”. [1. I feel adding advocacy makes the statement stronger and more consumer protection/reform/campaign orientated. 2. I believe the words ‘savers, investors and’ can be removed as they are covered by the terms financial services users.]
